This is a question I feel strongly about — because respiratory disease in Delhi is genuinely different from respiratory disease in cleaner-air cities, and a respiratory specialist who has practiced specifically in Delhi for 13 years understands this in ways that a generalist, or even a specialist from a different region, may not. At Pulmovista Clinics, I am deeply familiar with Delhi’s PM2.5 burden and its specific effects on airway disease; the hyperlocal allergen profile (Prosopis pollen, Aspergillus monsoon, dust mite year-round); the seasonal pattern of exacerbations driven by stubble burning, dust storms, Diwali, and winter inversions; and the occupational exposures of Delhi’s construction, manufacturing, and informal economy workforce. All of this informs how I diagnose and treat every patient who walks through the Pulmovista door.
